Have you extracted the entire .zip file into a separate directory? You're probably runing the .exe file from inside the zip folder that's why the P3Package.dll file doesn't load correctly. Just extract the entire .zip into a new folder and run the TMPGEnc.exe file from there.
Has anyone experienced the problem of the last few minutes on a file that has been merged messing up? I have the audio but the video freezes. I have tried re-encoding and it still messes up. Everything's fine up to the last few minutes. This particular time, I merged four 60-minute mpeg's.
I've been converting AVI (uncompressed) video files to Mpeg1 for use on a CDROM. Normally this works just fine for smaller files, but when I tried to convert a large uncompressed AVI file (about 2.5 GB) to Mpeg-1, I keep getting a hiccup in the audio around the 2GB area, where the audio disappears for a moment and then reappears later on.
I tried every combination of settings, but what finally worked was when i reduced the size of the file (the length of the video as well as the dimensions from 720X480 pixels to 320X240) and the glitch disappeared.
This leads me to believe that this is a memory problem and the encoder cannot handle large file sizes - it seems to want to reset itself at a critical size (around 2GB) and then continue. btw - the AVI file did not show the audio glitch, so the source file was not the problem.
Any thoughts on why this is happening and how it can be resolved?
Thanks,
Pesi
Seems you are running into some sort of problem with the VFW 2GB file size limit.
Change the priority decoding method to 'Open DML' or 'Directshow' in the VFAPI plugins.
Also make sure you have updated directshow codecs installed. I recommend FFDSHOW.
When I try to open video file in Xvid by TMPEGenc 2.5, it says can not open or unsupported. Is Xvid AVI unsupported format, or is there anything else, that coul cause the problem? What can I do with it? Thanks...

Thanks for reading this and for any advice offered. I am trying to convert a .avi file encoded with the DivX codec. Plays just fine. But when I attempt to select it as the Source file to convert, TMPGE crashes on me. First time happening, as I've converted .avi files that play in DivX before. Once again, thanks in advance for any advice.
This just started to occur yesterday. Everytime i try to convert a .rm to .mpg i would get a error saying "The instruction at "0x1001a668" referenced memory at "0xc2c2c2c6". The memory cannot be "read". Then it says the program has encountered a error and needs to close. This program was working fine before yesterday. I have even run a scan on my computer for virus/spyware then did a disk clean up and deframent. Then i tried deleting and reinstalling the program but it still gives me that error. Thanks for your help!
